Fragrances Preserved in Time by The House of Creed

The House of Creed is known to only use the best ingredients. And because it only uses the best of each harvest, the Perfume House is at the mercy of Mother Nature. If a certain ingredient is not up to the Creed standard, Olivier Creed and his son Erwin would rather wait until the next harvest than use subpar ingredients in their fragrances which mean, sometimes, to stop producing a scent.

FEUILLES VERTES

Sixth-generation master perfumer Olivier Creed created only three hundred and fifty 8.4-ounce decanters of Feuilles Vertes (Green Leaf) for his gala re-issue in 2012. Feuilles Vertes is inspired by Mr. Creed’s country life in Fontainebleau, France, where he lives, rides, walks his terriers and, of course, creates fragrance in a world renowned workshop down a hidden country lane. Crown Prince Felipe of Spain received the first decanter of Feuilles Vertes in celebration of the birth of his daughter, Leonor, in 2006. Creed Feuilles Vertes has since been vaulted by the House of Creed.

When he was a boy, Olivier Creed, sixth generation and current master perfumer, visited his family's summer home in Normandy, France. On a wall in the yard grew a lavish honeysuckle vine. Young Olivier Creed loved to stand by the vine and inhale its fine, gentle aroma in the morning. Later, when he became Creed's master perfumer, Olivier Cr reed created Chevrefeuille - honeysuckle in French - to commemorate that happy childhood memory. Creed Chevrefeuille has since been vaulted by the House of Creed.

BAIE DE GENIEVRE

The name of Creed's Baie de Genievre comes from one of its raw materials: the juniper berry. In French, "baie" means "berry". "Genievre" means "juniper". To get the most exquisite scent, Creed gives the juniper berry two to three years to ripen, picks it by hand and dries it. The rest is a secret, but some say this fine Creed fragrance smel lls like that other juniper berry concoction: the dry gin martini. Creed Green Valley was inspired by the game of golf, nature and the outdoors. Sixth generation master perfumer Olivier Creed played on the French National Champion Golf Team in 1984. Windsor was created in 1936 for King Edward VIII. Handmade from ingredients grown across the empire Edward ruled, Windsor is a royal blend of British gin, Scottish pine, Canadian cedar, Jamaican lime and more. He wore Windsor as king and later whe en he and his wife began a new life in Paris as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, superstars of international society.
